On Android TV, you can perform custom actions like launching apps, shortcuts, media and more by using Mudra Link gestures mapped to keyboard commands, with the help of the Button Mapper app.
This guide walks you through the setup.
Step 1: Install the Home Button App on Your Android TV
On your Android TV, open the Google Play Store.
Search and install Button Mapper
Step 2: Grant Accessibility Permission
Once installed, the app needs permission to trigger actions:
Open Settings on your Android TV.
Go to System (or Device Preferences, depending on your TV).
Select Accessibility.
Find Home Button (or Button Mapper, if listed).
Toggle Enable, and confirm any prompts.
Step 3: Assign a gesture to an action
In the Button Mapper app:
Click "Add Buttons".
When prompted to select a button to add - perform a gesture with your Mudra Link.
Select the button added, enable "Customize", and map it to the command, app, or shortcut you would like.
Now, whenever you perform the gesture, your Android TV will instantly carry out the action you selected.
